Calling all SWEET TOOTH Auckland Visitors! We have successfully eaten our way through Auckland, after all we have spent our entire lives living in this city – if anyone knows food in Auckland it is the Kiwi Direct team!
Oko Dessert Kitchen
Located in the heart of the CBD at Aotea Square (there’s always something fun going on here) there is a large array of beautifully displayed cabinet desserts – its always good seeing what you are ordering but in this case it will make your decision even harder! AND they do dessert cocktails AND craft beer, do you need anything more?!?!
Milse
Firstly this is located in Britomart! Britomart is always a fun time! This dessert restaurant is absolutely beautiful, although it is petite and intimate which makes the atmosphere lovely, but be prepared to wait for a table! For those on the run there is a large range of desserts available for takeaway, such as a baked Alaska ice cream, macaroons or delicate chocolates.
Miann
Miann offers 5-star desserts but with a relaxed, café vibe. With two locations in the CBD (Fort Street & Britomart) it is always a handy option. Miann offers a massive range of BON BONS, I have never seen such an impressive range of flavours (ummmm sea salted caramel!).
Casa Del Gelato
Even if you have eaten Gelato in the heart of Rome, this place is in the same ballpark! Located in Ponsonby and offering gelato in all shapes and sizes such as, freak shakes (literally a thick shake that weighs about 1 kilo and is a foot high!) and sundaes with all of the extra trimmings!
Moustache
This is definitely one of my favourites, it is affordable, has a laid back vibe and is absolutely delicious and innovative! Every week they come up with a new cookie flavour or a new way to bake cookies – follow their Facebook page to keep up to date with the trends! I can personally recommend their salted caramel thick shake, delicious, cheap and on the culturally famous – Karangahape Road.
